Please join in on the fun! As you all know, our father and husband, Thomas Carr, was one the most giving people we know. He had a ton of friends and people who loved him and with your help, we want to keep his legacy alive and continue doing what we all know he would be doing today if he could physically be here - helping others while having a blast doing so!
For those of you who do not know, we lost Thomas on September 12, 2017 after a short six-month battle with stage 4 pancreatic and liver cancer. Throughout those extremely difficult times, we all knew how blessed we were that we did not have to struggle financially while caring for Thomas. But we also know that not every family is that lucky and we want to give back to those struggling families as we know Thomas would.
The proceeds of this event will go directly to a non-profit organization, Bringing Hope Home. Bringing Hope Home (http://bringinghopehome.org) provides unexpected amazingness to many local families going through cancer with financial and emotional support. Through their Light of Hope Family Grant Program, they directly pay these families' household bills to ensure that they are able to stay in their homes, with a roof over their heads, utilities on, phones working, and food on the table while they are dealing with cancer.
The reason we chose Bringing Hope Home is simple: they do not limit how many people they help - through this event, we want to help bring a smile and a small sense of relief to more than one struggling family. And we thought this was the best way. So thank you all in advance for your support and we hope that you can be a part of the fun and help us create more memories in Thomas's honor.
